Naveed Iqbal is an experienced architect specialising in adaptive reuse who has worked on the design, execution, and reuse of buildings of different types and scales. He holds a bachelor's degree in architecture from the University of Engineering and Technology in Peshawar, Pakistan, as well as a master’s degree in Interior Architecture: Adaptive Reuse from Hasselt University, Belgium. As part of Trace research group at UHasselt, he obtained a PhD in Architecture, analysing and comparing the adaptive reuse potential of industrial heritage in Pakistan and Europe. Naveed believes that identifying the adaptive reuse potential of industrial heritage is crucial for Pakistan's heritage arena, which currently focuses only on cultural and religious heritage. He currently works as an assistant professor at the School of Art Design and Architecture at SADA NUST University, Islamabad, Pakistan.
